AS FEATURED ON HOUZZ:

Deep navy, bold cobalt and sapphire blue are a few of the inky hues that can set a dramatic tone in any space. And as blue — including Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year, Classic Blue — continues trending in home decor, the soothing nature-inspired color is making a visual splash in bathrooms. Get inspired by these 10 blue bathrooms and let us know in the Comments which one is your favorite.

6. Calming and Cool in Chicago

Erica Lugbill of Lugbill Designs
worked with her clients to create a watery blue, textured tile accent wall in their 49-square-foot bathroom. “This makes the space appear larger by creating a continuous sightline between the shower and the rest of the bathroom,” Lugbill says.

“There are a handful of different graphic-patterned field tiles that were installed randomly over the whole wall. This created a subtle graphic pattern with high impact,” she says.

7. Sparkling Blue Shower in Tennessee

Turquoise glossy field tile outlines the entrance to this walk-in shower by build firm Build Nashville. Inside the shower, three walls are wrapped in deep blue tiles, and a star-patterned floor tile adds a celestial touch.

8. Pool House Palms in Pennsylvania

A vibrant palm-patterned wallpaper wraps the walls in this Indiana, Pennsylvania, pool house bathroom by interior designer Elise Denver. A light wood vanity and floors complete the look.

9. Navy and White in Massachusetts

Interior designer Janet Shea Interiors created this 5-by-8-foot bathroom in Cohasset, Massachusetts, in a mostly navy-and-white palette to give it a nautical feel. “We decided to use navy tile for the upper third of the tiled walls to keep this small bath from feeling too dark,” she says. A Shaker-style weathered wood vanity and weathered wood-look porcelain floor tile add warmth and texture to the space.

10. Soothing Sky Blue in South Dakota

This bathroom in a newly built home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, features a custom single-sink vanity by Showplace Cabinetry. The vanity is painted in a light sky blue, which complements the subtle accent color seen in the patterned backsplash tile.
