Encino House

PROJECT TYPE  Residential

Set in the hills of Encino, CA, the house began as one of several similar ones built in the 1960s by a neighborhood developer. Transforming the house meant adding on in a way that allowed the house to connect to the outdoors, with new roofs that reach to views and light. Doing so gave the house a personality, reflective of the client, and yet very much still a part of the existing context.
